Mekong delta is about 40.000 square kilometers (km2) in area. And it is known as one of the widest and richest delta in ASEAN, in Vietnam it is considered as the biggest granary of Vietnam (the second one is Red River delta in the North of Vietnam), it provides 60% of nation’s rice Besides that, Mekong delta is the place of different tropical fruits such as durian, coconut, banana, pineapple, dragon fruit… and when people come here they can enjoy the seasonal fruits all round year.

Cai Be, one of the many well-known floating markets in the western region of southern Vietnam was formed in the Nguyen Dynasty in the 19th century. The Cai Be Floating Market is always busy, bearing all the characteristics of the locals’ life in the western region.
 

Tour Details:
08:00 Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to Cai Be, on the way have a chance to take photos of the picturesque flat rice fields.
10:00 On arrival in Cai Be, take a motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels.
11:00 Visit the orchard and fruit plantation. Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made.
12:00 Enjoy a lunch of fresh river food served in the heart of the garden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music. (Excluded)
14:00 Take a delightful walk through the bonsai garden.
15:00 Meet the driver again in Vinh Long. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
17:00 Drop off at the hotel.
